| Michiana Workshop Rotation Model Network |
The Michiana Workshop Rotation
Network was organized the spring of 1998 following the National WoRM Conference held in
the Chicago area. Presently, more than twenty churches are members. These congregations
represent denominational and non-denominational groups in northern Indiana and southern
Michigan.
McWoRM Net generally discusses a particular topic, such as, curriculum, environments,
design teams, and ways to keep the congregations informed. We visited seven Chicago area
churches during a two day field trip in August, 1998. The theme for the 1999 outing was
"Hands-On Learning." Members also have opportunities to discuss their particular
plans, and combined wisdom is shared. McWoRM Net serves as an educational and support
group for persons planning to begin WoRM or those presently involved in the model.
McWoRM Net meets the first Tuesday of January, February, April, May, October, and November
at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Cleveland Rd., South Bend, IN 46628.
Meetings are held at Noon (EST - known locally as "Indiana
time"), with each person bringing a sack lunch. Beverages, dessert, and devotions are
provided. In addition an all-day field trip is held in August.
The McWoRM Convener is Chris Hoover, Director of Christian Education at Westminster
Presbyterian Church, South Bend. For further information, you may contact Chris at johnhoover@datacruz.com.
